About the Role

We are seeking our founding Director, Clinical Operations, reporting to our Head of Operations, to build, own and scale our most critical clinical processes, starting with out Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) ingestion process and related cross-functional workflows. This role is strategic, with both operational and cross-functional leadership responsibilities, influencing Product, Clinical, and Executive teams.

You will have full ownership and decision-making authority over CTA ingestion and other key clinical operational processes. Beyond execution, you will define clinical operational strategy, standardize workflows, implement metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in clinical trials or RWD who thrives in a startup environment, can navigate ambiguity, and enjoys building scalable processes that have a direct impact on our clients and product. Auxilius is building financial software to support clinical trial management, so finance and/or accounting familiarity is a plus.

We’ll Count on You To…

Own & Optimize Clinical Operations

• Lead the end-to-end CTA ingestion process and other critical clinical operational workflows
• Ensure accurate capture of clinical and budget-related data used to model client budgets
• Define clinical operational strategy, KPIs, and metrics to measure performance and drive continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and increase operational efficiency

Lead & Develop Teams

• Manage and support offshore and internal clinical operations teams
• Provide mentorship, training, and performance guidance
• Establish workflows, documentation, and quality standards to scale team operations

Partner Strategically Across Teams

• Influence Product roadmap decisions based on operational insights
• Partner with Clinical, Product, and Executive teams to implement scalable processes and drive alignment
• Standardize best practices across workflows and serve as a subject matter expert for clinical operations

Skills and Qualifications

Required

• 4+ years of experience in clinical operations, clinical project management, or trial-related workflows
• Familiarity with Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) or clinical contracts
• Experience leading complex operational processes and teams end-to-end
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams and executive leadership
• Ability to define processes, document workflows, and drive operational improvements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience leveraging data to inform decisions and drive automation/efficiency improvements

Nice to Have

• Exposure to clinical trial budgeting inputs or financial data (no accounting background required)
• Familiarity with accounting, budgets and/or financial statements
• Experience managing direct reports as well as dotted-line reporting
• Experience partnering with internal product teams
• Experience leading customer-facing phone calls
