What does the role look like?
As the Coaching Partnerships Lead at Whop, you will be responsible for growing the processing volume (GMV) by partnering with coaches to launch coaching programs and courses on how to create successful whops. This might include courses on starting whops or even 6-week coaching programs focused on scaling whops to six figures—anything educational that helps creators run better whops.
Your responsibilities will include sourcing leads (qualified coaching partners who can launch Whop programs), pitching to them, consulting with the coaches to ensure their programs are of the highest quality, building meaningful relationships, and ultimately driving GMV through the launch of Whop coaching products and subsequent creator sign-ups. The most ideal coaching partnerships is the coach makes $1m/month teaching creators how to launch a business (including whop in material) and then 1,000 students per month launch their whop and also collectively make $1m/month.
You will collaborate with our Creator Partnerships Leads and Content Partnerships team to connect with prospects, and you will have a quarterly budget of $200,000 to help close partnerships and ensure successful launches.
Your first 90 days will look like the following:
- Within 30 days, you will understand our product, how to source creators to partner with, how to contact partners, and how to close partners. You will also have your first $100,000 GMV processed from creators launching coaching programs & their subsequent creator sign-ups.
- Within 60 days, you will have gotten $1,000,000 GMV from creators who have monetized on Whop, which came from the partnerships you have secured/.
- Within 90 days, you will have gotten $5,000,000 GMV from creators who have monetized on Whop, which came from the partnerships you have secured.
Who you are:
- You have a passion for our mission at Whop. You live and breathe creators and will work relentlessly to help them earn a sustainable income on our platform.
- 2+ years of experience working in fast-paced, high-output environments, such as; Partnerships at a fast-paced tech startup, running your own agency, being your own creator, or having launched a previously successful company.
- You are scrappy and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- You want to grind and get your hands dirty.
- You are highly resourceful and an executor who can produce results in a highly ambiguous environment.
- You are analytical and are comfortable understanding and using data to gain and take action on business insights.
Nice to have:
- Experience working closely with creators.
- Experience working closely with product teams.
- Experience working on affiliate programs.
- Experience working with agencies/partner networks.
- Experience working in a digital marketplace.
- Have had your own business in our space or have bought digital products from Whop creators or similar products.
- Experience with two-sided platforms and marketplace dynamics.
