As a Senior Manager of Portfolio Success on the Portfolio Success team, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence across the firm and realizing our vision of delivering world-class support to our portfolio companies. Reporting to the Senior Director of Portfolio Operations, you will support individuals and teams to ensure the successful execution of both portfolio company support and strategic internal efforts. You will act as a collaborative partner and force multiplier across many teams and cross-functional initiatives by showing an aptitude for owning and leading programs, a drive for building systems, and a desire to help build an industry-leading portfolio success function.

Responsibilities

Enabling the Portfolio Success team

• Lead the Portfolio Success support model, partnering cross-functionally with other teams to deliver systematic and scalable support to our portfolio companies
• Support key experiential programs for portfolio companies and their executive team (functional mastery series, founder development program) and direct support programs (advisory, research requests, talent sprints)
  • Drive program execution while building repeatable, systematic processes
  • Enable the Portfolio Success team and external experts to create a functional curriculum and content
  • Ensure seamless execution of the events themselves
• Lead key knowledge management efforts for both internal knowledge and external repositories of guides and resources

Driving operational excellence

• Enable the Portfolio Success team (currently 18 FTEs) by standing up systems, processes, and tools to ensure operational excellence and scalability

Delivering strategic value

• Help build a system of analytics and reporting that enables us to make better decisions by analyzing data, identifying trends, and communicating insights
• Work with the Portfolio Success Leadership on key strategic projects/initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or BizOps/StratOps/RevOps/chief-of-staff at a tech company/startup - experience in GTM or Customer Success roles is a plus
• Experience in developing and implementing operational strategies, and improving and optimizing internal workflows
• Experience in building systems and driving change
• Experience in engaging and coordinating with multiple senior-level executives
• Experience with implementing and owning office productivity, program management, and data & analytics software; SQL and scripting skills are a plus

About the Role

• Location: San Francisco, CA
• The salary range for this position is $150-225k, reflecting a position based in San Francisco, CA.
