Job Summary:
The Program Manager will own execution and delivery for our Utilization Review (UR) and medical necessity product line, which is growing rapidly across a widening set of health system clients and use cases. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who has already carried real delivery work and wants to grow into product ownership. The Program Manager will be responsible for driving customer requirements end to end — per-client configurations, feature enhancements, and rollout — while managing the day-to-day interaction with engineering and supporting sprint-level prioritization when client requests compete. This position requires a strong bias toward detail, follow-through, deep comfort operating in Jira, and genuine appetite to learn the utilization review domain from scratch; no prior UR expertise is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end delivery of customer requirements across every health system running our medical necessity products, from intake through to the customer actively using what was requested
Track and drive the per-customer configuration work required to bring each new health system live and keep existing ones current
Manage the day-to-day interaction between customers, the product team, and engineering: translate requests into clear, buildable work with real acceptance criteria
Support sprint-level prioritization when customer requests compete
Partner with the AI Transformation (AIT) team on rollout for each health system, and help make rollout a repeatable motion rather than a per-customer improvisation
Feed patterns back into the roadmap: when three customers ask for the same thing, be the person who noticed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
2+ years of program management, project management, implementation, or delivery experience
Demonstrated experience shipping a real product to a real customer: you were part of a team that carried something from early stage through to a customer using it in production and continuing to use it. School projects and internships do not count here
Direct experience coordinating work with an engineering team — writing up requirements, managing a backlog, driving delivery against a sprint cadence
Deep comfort with Jira as your primary working tool
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to hold a thread across multiple customers and internal teams at once
Genuine appetite to learn the healthcare and utilization review domain from scratch
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Experience at a startup, or fast growing company
Health tech or healthcare SaaS background, particularly in an implementation, customer program management, or delivery role
Exposure to enterprise or health system customers, and to the reality that every customer wants something slightly different
Program or delivery background with a clear ambition to move into product management
Familiarity with healthcare workflows, terminology, or health system IT environments
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Execution Bias: You would rather close ten things than debate one. You default to making the list and working the list
Detail Orientation: You catch the inconsistency, the missed configuration, the request that went quiet three weeks ago
Ownership: Given an ambiguous customer request, you drive it to a decision rather than waiting for one
Cross-Functional Judgment: You can sit between a customer, a product lead, and an engineer and make all three feel heard while still moving the work forward
Prioritization Instinct: When two customers want incompatible things in the same sprint, you can frame the tradeoff clearly enough for someone to decide
Learning Agility: You get to real fluency in a new clinical domain fast, and you ask good questions while you're getting there
Product Curiosity: You want to understand why the product works the way it does, not just what ticket to file
