Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled IT Security & Support Administrator with 4 to 6 years of experience to provide technical assistance and support to our users during evening hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, as well as providing excellent customer service to our internal stakeholders. This position requires working from 5:00 PM IST to 2:00 AM IST remote.

  • Provide technical support to our employees on a variety of IT issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems and licenses to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Monitoring networks for security breaches, investing violations as occurs.
  • Developing and supporting organizational security standards, best practices, preventative measures, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Conducting penetration tests (simulating cyberattacks to find vulnerabilities before others can find them).
  • Reporting on security breaches to users, as necessary, and to upper management.
  • Implementing and updating software to protect information.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices and usage of IT systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments in the IT industry.

What You'll Need

  • What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in IT support roles, with a strong emphasis on troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Solid understanding of IT principles and practices, including ITIL frameworks.
  • Proficiency in operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Office Suite and other business applications.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LAN/WAN technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evening hours from 5:00 PM IST to 2:00 AM IST.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
  • Experience working in a 24/7 IT support environment.
  • Experience working with US based startup will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
