About Mandolin

Nearly every disease will become treatable in our lifetimes. Mandolin is laying the clinical and financial infrastructure to get groundbreaking treatments to patients faster, powered by AI agents.

Mandolin partners closely with the largest healthcare institutions in the US, covering more than $10B drug spend across the country. We're backed by Greylock, SV Angel, Maverick, SignalFire, and the founders of Vercel, Decagon, and Yahoo.

Why we need you

As our first Executive Operations hire, you’ll serve as a force multiplier for Mandolin’s leadership team. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution—helping the CEO and execs operate at their best, while building the workflows and processes that keep the company running smoothly. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to every function of a fast-growing healthtech startup and grow into larger responsibilities as we scale.

What you’ll do

  • Shadow the CEO and leadership team to understand company priorities and ensure follow-through on critical initiatives.

  • Drive execution on key projects by coordinating across teams, documenting decisions, and ensuring next steps are clear and completed.

  • Run and improve management systems: OKR check-ins, leadership meetings, company all-hands, and cross-functional reviews.

  • Take on special projects that don’t fall neatly into a department but are critical to company success.

  • Build repeatable processes and lightweight systems to improve speed, alignment, and accountability across the org.

  • Handle day-to-day operational tasks for the CEO and exec team, removing distractions and creating leverage.

  • Over time, grow into managing larger projects or even temporary ownership of a function as the company scales.

Must-have experience

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in fast-paced environments (consulting, investment banking, startup ops, or similar).

  • Exceptionally organized, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distill complex topics into clear next steps.

  • Comfortable working with executives and sitting in on sensitive conversations with discretion and trust.

  • Bias toward action; thrives in ambiguous environments and figures out how to get things done.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or healthtech.

  • Familiarity with startup tools (Notion, Slack, Asana, GSuite).

  • Exposure to AI or data-driven products.

  • Career interest in eventually running a team, department, or taking on a Chief of Staff / strategy role.

Compensation Range: $120K - $165K
