Head of Product

The Opportunity

Driven by our success and the resulting market demand, we are evolving from category creator to enterprise standard. We are looking for a high-energy Product leader to help us rise to the occasion and bring Join through the next stage of growth. You thrive in the “messy middle” – you have the grit to find the path forward when none presents itself and lead your team through it. You are a driver who builds, launches, and iterates products and capabilities. You manage the full lifecycle from idea to market, using data and customer feedback to drive decisions. You push yourself and others to meet business goals, bring contagious energy, and mentor teammates along the way.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product function: Set the vision, standards, and operating rhythm for the product team. You are accountable for how we build, not just what we build.
  • Manage and develop PM team: Lead a team of two Product Managers. Coach them on craft, prioritization, and customer instinct — raise the ceiling of the team.
  • Deliver outcomes: you are accountable for the ultimate success of the product, specifically driving adoption, retention, quality, and clear value for our customers.
  • Deep customer and market understanding: Ensure the product development team is grounded in real customer problems and market context, not assumptions.
  • Product strategy and 12-24 month roadmap: look beyond our industry to the gold standards of SaaS to define what the best-in-class experience looks like for our customers and chart a path to get there.
  • Prioritization: make tradeoff decisions of all sizes, balance the need for “Enterprise-Worthy” completeness and stability with the speed and agility of a category leader in a fast-evolving space.

What you’ll do

  • Research & discovery: Lead customer interviews, problem framing, and validation. Coach your PMs on how to conduct rigorous research and answer questions quickly.
  • Partner on Technical Strategy: In lockstep with Engineering, you will define the “depth” of our reporting and other infrastructure and weigh the current system versus the long term requirements of an enterprise-standard platform.
  • Lifecycle delivery & documentation: Uphold the craft of product — from focused research, clear initiative plans and PRDs to coordinating compelling launches and chasing adoption. Set the standard your PMs follow.
  • Cross-functional leadership: Work across Design, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and CX to ensure the organization understands the what, why, and how of our product direction. Be the connective tissue between teams.
  • Execution cadence: Drive the rhythm of the team through planning, internal reviews (UX/Eng design, stakeholders), and retros. You are the heartbeat of the team, raising the collective energy and unblocking your counterparts daily.

Success Metrics

  • Adoption, engagement, and retention of product features
  • Customer satisfaction, retention and expansion
  • Predictability and quality of roadmap execution
  • Effectiveness and development of the product team

Required Experience & Skills

  • 5-8+ years of B2B SaaS PM experience, including PM management: You have a proven track record of shipping complex products and navigating the transition from growth to enterprise-grade. You have built or scaled a small product team.
  • Player-coach instinct: You can go deep on a problem yourself and step back to let your team own it. You know when each is needed.
  • Resourcefulness: You are the critical thinker who clarifies the questions and finds the answers when there is no map. You have a high bias for action and a low ego.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication: You get right to the crux of a problem, inspire with your storytelling, and leave focus and clarity in your wake, whether writing a PRD, presenting to the exec team, or coaching a PM through a difficult tradeoff.
  • Technical discernment and proficiency: You are comfortable discussing APIs and data schemas and proactive about working with data and using modern tools (including AI) to solve problems faster and better.
  • Systems thinking: You don’t just think about what the user’s dashboard looks like, you think about the flow of data from upload or entry in the field to the executive report.
  • High energy: You bring the focus, pace, and “activation energy” necessary to stay ahead of the competition and ignite your squad.
  • AEC Interest: Exposure to or a strong interest in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry is a significant plus.
