About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team to support our PaaS. As a key member of the engineering team, you will manage a scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage infrastructure using AWS VPC, ASG, EC2, and RDS across multiple accounts and regions.
- CI/CD Pipelines: Support our continuous integration and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, BitBucket CI/CD, and AWS CodeDeploy.
- Automation: Use IaC tools including but not limited to Terraform to ensure compliant, secure and repeatable infrastructure.
- Monitoring: Create dashboards to visualize and monitor resource usage, application performance, and security.
- Compliance: Manage compliance using AWS Control Tower, Cloudwatch, and System Manager.
- Security: Implement and manage security best practices using AWS IAM policies, VPCs, and Security Hub.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers to streamline processes, troubleshoot issues, provide mentoring and DevOps expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
- Incident Response: Manage and respond to system incidents ensuring minimal downtime.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure, processes, and best practices.
- Audit: Conduct regular audits of systems and processes to identify and address security vulnerabilities and ensure system integrity. Provide information and evidence to external auditors to demonstrate compliance with SOPs and regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience: 3+ years in a DevOps or similar role, with hands-on experience managing AWS-based environments.
- AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of core AWS services like Control Tower, EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CodeDeploy, RDS, CloudFormation, and Security Hub.
- DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Jenkins, BitBucket CI/CD, and Terraform
- Scripting: Solid scripting skills in languages such as Node, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Version Control: Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Monitoring: Experience with AWS CloudWatch and application monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, or similar), and intrusion detection tools (ossec, wazuh, etc..)
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred
- AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOC 2, or HIPAA.
- Experience working with a LEMP stack
