Team members work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, or Poland. All roles have an in-person component: Conditions permitting, teams meet 2–4 weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly’s hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków. This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust and unlocks creativity.

You will be responsible for growing new user acquisition by driving relevant organic search traffic to Grammarly’s web properties—including both traditional SEO and ASO for our landing pages on desktop browser application stores.
In this role, you will:
- Develop a holistic SEO strategy that grows organic search traffic and conversions, and aligns with larger company goals and priorities; execute against that roadmap; and track performance.
- Lead a cross-functional pod of content marketers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.
- Conceptualize and lead projects to drive SEO growth.
- Grow and refine Grammarly’s topical keyword strategy.
- Develop and own processes to ensure ongoing SEO site health and maintenance.

- Collaborate with the Engineering team to implement SEO-friendly technical changes (e.g., optimize for Web Vitals, add appropriate schema).
- Collaborate with the Content Strategy team to develop and optimize content for search.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and communicate important information or changes to key stakeholders.
- Work on both B2B and B2C SEO.
- Perform audits, research, and competitive analysis as necessary.
- Manage external SEO agencies.

- Has worked on mature websites with large amounts of traffic, and has scaled content.
- Is creative and resourceful, with a track record of innovating and trying out-of-the-box methods to achieve a goal, even with limited resources.
- Thinks strategically and understands how SEO impacts overall website, marketing, and business strategies.
- Can work both autonomously and collaboratively, depending on the project.
- Has the potential to build and manage an SEO team.
- Builds strong, positive working relationships across departments and functions, with an ability to create buy-in and have conversations on technical aspects with an engineer, business outcomes with a product marketer, and editorial SEO requirements with the Content Strategy team.
Bonus points for:
- Knowledge of both B2C and B2B SEO.
- Experience with SEO A/B testing.
- Experience being on a product team, or collaborating closely with a product team.
