Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, or Poland. Certain roles have specific location requirements to facilitate collaboration at a particular Grammarly hub.

All roles have an in-person component: Conditions permitting, teams meet 2–4 weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly’s hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków. This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust and unlocks creativity.

Grammarly team members in this role must be based in the United States or Canada, and they must be able to collaborate in person 4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub(s) where the team is based.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Sr. Manager, Demand Generation to join our demand generation team. This person will report to the Head of Demand Generation and work very closely with the Grammarly for Education sales team, helping to drive pipeline and revenue growth.

The person in this role must have a strong track record of driving demand, ideally from the education industry, and should be an expert in demand gen strategies and tactics including events, content, digital marketing, web, industry partnerships and more. They will inherit a program that is achieving results in a scrappy way, testing new formats and tactics to build a mix to achieve our ambitious growth targets.

This leader will work in a matrixed cross-function manner, with support from content, events, analytics and operations partners reporting into other marketing teams. They will initially be an IC with the opportunity to immediately build a small team.

Your impact

As Sr. Manager, Demand Generation, you will drive demand generation strategy to reach educational institution buyers and influencers, supporting Grammarly's strategy to gain global share of educational organizations and student users. You will define the plans and drive execution for building awareness and lead-generating activity for the education line of business.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive demand generation strategy that efficiently delivers on pipeline coverage targets and leading indicators such as MQLs.
  • Conceptualize and execute on campaigns and tactics to garner attention from our target buyers in the higher education industry globally.
  • Foster a strong partnership between Grammarly for Education sales and marketing teams, ensuring the sales organization understands demand gen strategy, campaigns and impact.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is able to collaborate in person 4 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub where the team is based.
  • Has a proven track record of crafting marketing strategies and plans that drive MQLs that convert to generate pipeline for new business and expansion.
  • Is an expert in the B2B lead funnel, from lead > MQL > SQL> opportunity to close. Understanding of what drives conversion/volume of each.
  • Can successfully coordinate, empower, direct multiple stakeholders, details, and timelines towards a specific goal.
  • Has an impatience to move themselves and others to action, even if there is incomplete information or other hurdles.
  • Can analyze and pull meaningful insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Has experience partnering with external agencies and leading/influencing internal content and creative teams.
  • Has a scrappy approach to in-market learning that will inform playbook and business cases for greater investment.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US and Canada locations are categorized into compensation zones based on each geographic region’s cost of labor index. Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States:
Zone 1: $173,000 – $219,000/year (USD)
Zone 2: $156,000 – $197,000/year (USD)
Zone 3: $147,000 – $186,000/year (USD)
Zone 4: $138,000 – $175,000/year (USD)
Canada:
Zone 1: $131,000 – $160,000/year (CAD)
Zone 2: $111,000 – $136,000/year (CAD)
