Form Health delivers medical treatment of obesity through telehealth.

Obesity impacts 40% of the US adult population, but only about 1% of patients receive medical treatment for their disease. Form Health makes medical treatment available to everyone.

Form Health helps people lose weight in a medically-supervised environment. Our physicians look at the whole patient and develop an individual, medical approach, including medications when appropriate. All of this: virtual MD visits, interactions with Registered Dietitians, group interactions, meal tracking, and more, is delivered securely via an app on the patient's phone.

We launched four years ago on iOS and Android and need an experienced back-end or full-stack engineer to:

  • Develop back-end services and clinical tools with Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, Node (AWS Lambda), GraphQL, and ReactJS
  • Drive and support experimentation and rapid iteration of a telemedicine product at scale
  • Collaborate with other developers: native mobile, web, back-end/full-stack, and data engineers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support rapid iteration of internal tools to help our business operations scale efficiently and create better experiences and outcomes for our patients
  • Inform technical, product, process, hiring, and architectural decisions (including build vs buy)
  • Continuously improve infrastructure (AWS), GraphQL APIs (Apollo Server), data modeling (PostgreSQL, Snowflake), integrations, and other services

Your contributions with have a massive impact building a world-class product, service, and team. We support patients in their weight loss journey and their clinical care teams with integrated chronic care and a mobile app with features like:

  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant meal photo sharing, video chat visits, and text messaging
  • Personalized content delivery (meal plans, timely resources, daily tips)
  • Data collection and visualization
  • Gamification to drive engagement
  • A/B experiments and feature flags to deliver and measure impact continuously
  • Much more on our roadmap

Things that are important to us:

  • Protecting patients’ privacy and the safety of their data
  • Simplicity and quality
  • Continuous learning and improvement
  • Minimizing waste
  • Growth and scalability
