About the role:
Please note, this position requires transportation industry experience and will require candidates to be hybrid on-site at either our Chicago or San Diego office. Flock Freight is seeking a motivated and results-driven National Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, growing, and retaining national, multi-site customers across the US. We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused individual who can effectively build relationships, educate clients on our product offerings, and drive revenue growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional with 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Independently identify and target national and multi-site leads, converting them into valuable clients through a consultative sales approach.
- Engage and nurture relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, contributing to overall revenue growth.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations to showcase the value and benefits of our services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information and sales activities in our CRM system (Salesforce)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and ongoing support.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to effectively position our offerings.
- Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting them in finding solutions to their logistics challenges.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate new leads.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role, including experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring and growing national, multi-site accounts.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.

The expected on-target earnings range for this position is $130,000 to $230,000 per year. This range reflects typical earning potential in this role, however, our uncapped commission plans allow for top performers to exceed these ranges. When determining an offer, we take into account a variety of factors that are important in making compensation decisions including, but not limited, to: skill sets; experience and tenure; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is based on market data for the greater San Diego area. Salary bands may, in some circumstances, be adjusted to a different geographic area depending on the candidate's position and location. In general, Flock Freight targets the mid-point of this salary range.
In addition to salary, full-time employees are also eligible for an equity package and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Flock Freight. Our policy is that we target candidates local to one of Flock Freight’s headquarters locations (San Diego or Chicago) and ask that employees work in-office in a hybrid capacity.
