About Doro Mind

Together, we are on a mission to make recovery the norm for people affected by serious mental illness (SMI). We believe that recovery is a team sport and the starting point is family engagement. Our mission originates from the lived experiences of our team. Our mission is fueled by the lived experiences of many who partner with us, invest in us and believe in us.

Doro Mind is building a new care delivery platform and team that offers those living with SMI and their loved ones access to services that have been proven to lead to meaningful recovery. The vision for the care we are building at Doro Mind includes integrated mental and physical health care, medication management, psychotherapy, family support case management, supported employment, education, and peer support. We believe that technology is a critical ingredient to scaling these services to provide quality care to the widest range of people in need.

Doro Mind is led by co-founders and co-CEOs Mimi Liu and Brady Richards, who each bring decades of experience transforming healthcare systems to reduce barriers and improve outcomes. They’re also fueled by their own journeys with their own families. Their approach highlights collaboration at every level of the system: from insurance payers, to primary care providers, psychiatrists, wrap-around services, and of course the families and individuals impacted by SMI.

Role: Marketing & Events Manager

We’re looking for a mission-driven Marketing & Events Manager to build awareness of Doro Mind’s services and grow our community—both online and offline. You’ll lead content strategy and execution across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube), organize events for our community (virtual and in-person in the Greater New York Area), and shape how we communicate our brand, our mission, and the voices of those we serve. We’re looking for someone with both the operating and execution expertise to manage content end to end.

This is a rare opportunity to build something from 0→1 with a deeply meaningful mission and a team that cares.

Responsibilities

Manage Community Events

  • Plan and coordinate regular events (online webinars, support gatherings, educational sessions) and in-person events in the Greater New York Area
  • Work closely with the care and product teams to design events that are welcoming, valuable, and well-attended
  • Manage logistics, promotion, and follow-up for each event

Further develop Doro Mind’s unique brand and voice

  • Help evolve and maintain Doro Mind’s brand voice and identity particularly for prospective members
  • Maintain monthly email newsletters to share updates on Doro Mind activities
  • Identify opportunities for speaking events and earned media

Content Marketing & Social Media

  • Collaborate with our team (including designers, founders, and clinical leads) to produce videos, posts, and thought leadership pieces
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to grow engagement and refine strategy
  • Develop and execute content strategies for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content that resonates with our core audiences: individuals with psychosis and family caregivers and builds our domain authority in the space
  • Write compelling, emotionally resonant copy that reflects the voices and stories of those with lived experience

Who You Are

  • Deeply aligned with our mission and values
  • Strong storyteller who can write and create across multiple formats
  • Organized, self-starting, and comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-moving environment
  • Confident project manager who can drive content calendars, campaigns, and events from start to finish
  • Deeply empathetic—especially toward families and individuals navigating mental illness
  • Bonus: You have lived experience (personal or family) with serious mental illness, including schizophrenia or bipolar disorder with psychosis

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in content marketing, community building, or brand marketing
  • Proven success growing social media presence (especially Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) including experience using AI tools to enhance workflows
  • Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Descript) to ideate, draft, and accelerate content creation and project management
  • Experience organizing community events or webinars
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Basic design/video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
  • Email marketing experience, including list building, segmentation, and campaign creation

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with mental health or health-related brands
  • SEO content strategy experience
  • Partnerships or grassroots campaign experience
