Customer Experience

ClassDojo's goal is to give every child on Earth an education they love.

We started by building a network that connects teachers, children, and families. ClassDojo's flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-8 teachers, children, and families, globally. They use it to share what's happening throughout the day through photos, videos, messages, and activities. It is actively used at an unprecedented scale: in over 95% of US schools, reaching ~51 million children in ~180 countries, with a team of just ~200 people. We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide.

We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with experience in education and large scale consumer internet companies, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We're building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you'll do the best work of your life here—and you'll pioneer the future of education, too.

What you'll do:

As a School Partnerships Specialist, you'll be ClassDojo's on-the-ground champion in one of our priority markets: Atlanta (GA), Los Angeles (CA), Miami-Dade (FL), Louisville (KY) and New York City (NY). Your mission is to help schools build stronger family engagement and foster positive school culture — one school leader conversation, one teacher presentation, and one community at a time.

This is a field-based role for someone who is deeply motivated by the belief that every school deserves the tools and support to connect meaningfully with families. You'll spend your time visiting schools, sitting down with principals to understand their unique challenges, and serving as an advisor to school leaders and teachers who are looking to strengthen communication with families, build more inclusive school communities, and develop positive culture from the classroom up. You'll leverage your deep local relationships and your credibility as a fellow education leader to open doors and build trust. You're someone who thrives on autonomy, is energized by being out in schools, and is motivated by a performance-based compensation model that rewards results.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate one-on-one meetings with school leaders through email outreach, phone calls, referrals, and personal networking.

  • Advise principals, assistant principals, and teachers on how ClassDojo can support their goals around parent communication, community building, and positive classroom culture.

  • Conduct teacher-facing presentations to introduce ClassDojo and drive teacher sign-ups.

  • Attend principal association meetings, regional education events, resource fairs, and back-to-school events.

  • Track and report on key activity metrics including visits booked, visits completed, teacher sign-ups generated, and school leader engagements secured.

  • Collaborate with ClassDojo's mentor community to leverage introductions and accelerate relationship-building in your market.

  • Serve as a trusted local voice for ClassDojo.

Requirements:

  • Former school principal, assistant superintendent, instructional coach, or education leader with deep, active relationships in one of the priority markets (Atlanta (GA), Los Angeles (CA), Miami-Dade (FL), Louisville (KY) and New York City (NY)).

  • A genuine passion for family engagement and school culture — you've seen firsthand how connecting families to what's happening at school transforms outcomes for kids.

  • Extensive personal network among school leaders and district administrators in your market — the kind of relationships where you can pick up the phone and get a meeting.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience leading professional development sessions, faculty meetings, or schoolwide presentations.

  • Self-starter who can independently manage outreach, scheduling, and field logistics with minimal oversight.

  • Comfort with a performance-based compensation structure tied to measurable outcomes.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally to school sites 3+ days per week.

  • Familiarity with the K-8 education landscape, including current challenges facing school leaders and teachers.

Bonus experience:

  • Recently retired principal or head of a local principal association.

  • Prior experience in a Community Engagement Lead, School Partnerships, or field sales role at an education company.

  • Existing familiarity with ClassDojo as a teacher, administrator, or parent.

  • Connections to regional education conferences or back-to-school event organizers in your market.

About the role:

This is a contract role. Compensation for this 5-month engagement is structured as a success-fee model, with on-target earnings ranging from $24,000–$30,000 depending on market conditions and placement location. Operating costs (travel, meals, printed materials) are covered. Markets available: Atlanta, Louisville, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City.

ClassDojo takes a number of factors into consideration when determining final contract rates, including geographic location, experience, and depth of local network.
