Clinical Team Lead - Addiction Medicine Physician (West Region)

The Clinical Team Lead - Physician is a physician leadership position with both direct patient care and clinical administrative duties. The Clinical Team Lead is responsible for the direct management of all clinicians on the team, and for the performance of the team overall toward practice quality improvement goals and clinician employment experience. The Clinical Team Lead is licensed in good standing in all states within the assigned region and has demonstrated clinical leadership, program-building, and quality improvement experience in the field of addiction medicine with emphasis on treatment of opioid use disorder.
- Valid license in TX to practice medicine preferred
- Willing to obtain licensures in the following states - TX, AZ, CO, ID, ND, NE, NM, MT, SD, WY and other states as may be required - at company expense

Schedule Options: M, W, Th, F, Sa 11-7 or 10-6pm CST OR Th, F, Sa, Sun, M 11-7pm or 10-6pm CST OR Wednesday Thursday Sat Sun 10-8pm CST
Target Pay Range: $220,000-$230,000 + Bonus Eligible - Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

You can expect to:
- All duties of a Physician
- ACGME accredited board certification in any primary medical specialty
- Directly manage assigned Physician and Advanced Practice Clinician reports. Management responsibility includes onboarding, reviewing documentation and performance data and providing feedback as needed, soliciting feedback and addressing identified needs to improve performance and satisfaction, conducting formal quarterly performance reviews, and conducting performance improvement plans as may be necessary.
- Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director in the performance management of Therapists on the team. This collaboration includes administrative onboarding, reviewing documentation and performance data and providing feedback to the Regional Medical Director as needed, soliciting feedback and addressing identified needs to improve performance and satisfaction, and assisting the Regional Medical Director in the implementation of performance improvement plans as may be necessary.
- Ensure that all providers on the team are providing care that adheres to policies and procedures, and meets all regulatory requirements
- Plan and conduct team meetings with the goals of cascading practice information from the Regional Medical Director, aligning providers toward the mission of the organization and toward quality improvement goals, identifying provider needs and opportunities for improved support of our providers, and optimizing team collaboration.
- Use analytics tools to monitor team and individual provider performance, and to inform performance interventions and monitor the progress of those interventions. Collaborate with the Regional Medical Director and analytics team to inform improvements in analytics tools.
- Improve the performance of the team as a whole toward practice quality improvement goals.
- Provide ad hoc case consultation to clinicians on the team as necessary
- Provide backup on-call coverage when primary on-call may fail to respond
- Identify needed resources and support for the team, and bring these needs to the attention of the Regional Medical Director.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualities we're looking for:
- Physician with at least 3 years of full-time addiction medicine practice experience or equivalent
- Valid license in TX to practice medicine preferred
- DEA license in your home state.
- Willing to obtain other licensures such as AZ, CO, ID, ND, NE, NM, MT, SD, WY and other states as may be required - at company expense
- Must have the ability to treat a panel of patients
- Minimum 5 years post-training clinical experience in primary specialty preferred.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and supervising Physician and Advanced Practice Clinicians; ability and willingness to expand this experience into providing administrative support and supervision to Therapists.
- Experience in quality improvement driving change management in a clinical setting; examples include synthesizing literature, designing clinical protocols, managing stakeholders, designing measures, data collection and evaluation.
- Outstanding communication skills including public speaking, written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment focused on company-level goals.
- Project leadership and management skills.
- Track-record of producing outstanding publications, clinical study reports, and poster presentations preferred
- A mindset to choose progress over perfection and get things done.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.
